In this Mumbo Jumbo Minecraft redstone video, Mumbo asks How many Minecraft farms fit in a 7x7 Red Square? This video includes a tiny villager trading hall, a small sugar cane farm and even a tiny Minecraft mob farm. These compact Minecraft farms would be easy to build in Minecraft survival. These Simple Minecraft farms are great if you want to know How to start a Minecraft world properly.

This video is inspired by Mr Beast and his Anything you can fit in the square I'll pay for series.

In the next Hermitcraft season, you should make this into a service called SEVEN². Due to the tiny footprint, it would probably easily fit inside most hermits' bases, be it inside a tower or underground, making it a really attractive product. :)

In past hermitcraft seasons, we've seen mumbo slowly take up more and more space. I'd like to see if mumbo runs with this concept of saving space and essentially making a "New York City" style base where it's all skyscrapers and eventually making a huge functional city of villager residents and all buildings and machines go with this concept.

@Hassib Karim Depends on the farm in question If you build it in one of the chunks nearest to your spawn-point, it'll never unload the chunk. (a compass will help you locate the exact X/Z center of your spawning area) If the unloading of the chunk risks breaking the farm, then be sure to build it inside of the spawning area, but for any farms that are less sensitive, keep them outside of that area, to reduce the risk of lag

@SacredLotusMC i mean, he still had space beneath and you can put a filter into a 7x7 area, just not all chest together so he would have designed the sorter on floors for each items and then maybe connect them to a specific chest beneath all sorters

You could expand this downward so it goes into the ground, giving more room, and it doesn't seem illegal that you could build a nether portal as a wall, and have another 7x7 square in the nether for other farms if you consider the nether to be under the overworld. Build it right, and you could put it over the end portal and use that to make an entrance into the end for possible enderman farm. as well.

Another thing i would like to say is, if arrows (in entity form) where fired at hoppers, they could collect them, this could make a interesting arrow farm, maybe with skeletons, or a contraption that requires a villager and a nametagged pillager, where the pillager fires a the villager but it goes into the hopper instead, its alot more efficient then wasting alot of time placing and breaking gravel for flint!

Silentwisperer did that in Truly Bedrock season 2, his base was a modern style tower with a bunch of farms going from the bottom of the world to somewhere in the 100's on the Y axis, at the very top of the tower he had an iron farm since on bedrock you can fit and stack those into a 1 chunk area

For hermitcraft 9 you should limit/challenge yourself to not have mega base, but a super mage ultra compact base like 1 chunk or a 2x2 chunk, and then another 1 or 2x2 for industrial, (shops, pranks, outside builds, and other such would not be apart of the base chunk(s)). But your main base could meet these confinements and it would be a great challenge! Also great vid, I loved it.

You see, Mumbo, what you've actually done here is provide ultra basic tutorials for the almost all of the essential farms in the game with mechanisms so simple that anyone could understand them. This is literally the bare minimum for each farm to work, broken down into the simplest of mechanisms. I'd love to see redstone videos that break the farms down like that, making ultra simple and intuitive farms, showing how they can be scaled up or down to fit into any plans that you may have. I'm autistic, so I struggle with concepts like that, and often just copy other peoples farms block for block in the worlds I create or join, and this video has given me a good amount of insight in how to actually make better farms because I understand how they actually work.

@FluffyDreg Oh, i would love to respond to the points you are making. I must have misunderstood you. I assumed your response to RedNinja meant that understanding redstone is _insurmountable_ to some people. Maybe it is to a few, but there seem to be a lot of viewers who are wowed by Mumbo's videos (just look at the number of likes on op). I think a majority of them could learn a lot of they wanted to. But no, i agree with your actual point. Any and all subjects come easier to some than others. Understanding all of these builds and starting your own designs after an hour is a bit of a stretch.

    2. FluffyDreg
      FluffyDreg
      16 օր առաջ

@Volbla I was confused why you were explaining it to me; because none of it was something I disputed. And I agreed with the point you brought up that it is actually a valid comparison. I have no clue what you are trying to argue. I also never said that people could understand it? I was just saying to someone who was certain "everyone could get it in less than an hour because it's actually really easy" That this statement is wrong; because different people have different levels of understanding. Not that they CANT learn it; just that it might not be easy. Could you please respond to points I am actually making?

    3. Volbla
      Volbla
      16 օր առաջ

@FluffyDreg I am explaining my point because that's how arguments can progress? And in case it's unclear, when i write "you" i don't mean you personally. I mean A Person in the situation we're discussing, i.e. someone who doesn't know what's going on in this video. English is silly like that, but that how it be. Anyway, you argued that operating a smartphone is a bad comparison because using something is not the same as building something. I argue that it's a good comparison because getting a phone to work correctly can still require some technical understanding (and patience!). Hence my point: if someone is technical enough to operate a smartphone they should be technical enough to understand basic redstone circuits if they give it a try. You're right that using a phone is not building anything. It is not a creative activity. But neither is watching a video! No one here built their own tiny farms. They watched Mumbo build them, whilst explaining what he was doing. I'm sorry, but i am surprised over how many people seem to struggle with that. If they don't care about redstone and just watch Mumbo for Mumbo, that's cool. Not everyone has to be interested in everything. But if they _would like_ to understand what's happening in a video like this, i believe most of them could do it. If anything, i believe they are underestimating themselves.

    4. FluffyDreg
      FluffyDreg
      16 օր առաջ

@Julia Bachmann Definitely follow along, I found that I didn't really understand it until I followed along two or three times. What's also helpful is when following along more complicated builds (Such as the auto super smelter) you make sure you understand every mechanic at play; *why* you do certain things. Why is this block a repeater? Why is this a transparent block? Does this one need to be hard powered? Go ahead and make those changes; because that will remind you what those blocks can also do. I personally find it easy to forget, that to hard power a block, you either need the redstone ontop of it, or a repeater going into it. So I often replace that repeater with regular redstone, which reminds me that yeah; that block will only work like that if it's there. It will still take a while, but eventually you'll get the hang of it. And never feel like it's cheating to look up already made builds and copy those. It's not; and I'm sure you'll eventually find especially when using them as part of a larger construction; that they need to be done in a different way because of space.

@FluffyDreg yeah I’ve seen those videos and I think I understand some basics like pistons, powering basic stuff, transport systems, and stuff like that but not enough to actually understand what he’s talking about when doing fancy redstone.
